Happy Halloween!

I took these shots at Cherokee Halloween day. Mud is spooky if you go fast enough.

Bud Light Golden Wheat review

So here comes a Belgian wit style beer from Anheuser-Bush. WTF is next? A Bush stout?

Imagine a Blue Moon with less orange twang and the body of a traditional Bud Light and that's about what you get. It's malty and crisp and carries a moderate buzz. For a light beer it's tops of the list and on par with Sam Adam's light. The choice between those two would depend on your mood and meal.

Night assault

The fall and winter months bring the blues for most cyclists. Limited daylight and the cold will really kill motivation.

I highly recommend a decent light kit like the dinotte stuff to beat back the slump.

I've been night riding already this year and it's a totally surreal escape. Dangerous and trickier than normal it gets the adrenal gland all sloppy wet.

Cherokee slickness

Beware Cherokee and Seneca are hard packed and greasy-slick right now.

Cumberland brews Oktoberfest review

That's right I'm alive!

A light aroma, crisp and mellow with a mouthful of malty spice. A nice twang. Buzz level: HIGH

Karate Monkey pics

Here's my blacked out single speed. She so hot Cleopatra Jones and Foxy Brown are haters.

2009 Brewer's fest pics added

I dropped a few pics from the 2009 brewer's fest in Nashville on the sidebar.

Rise of the XC

I'm gearing my Santa Cruz Blur back up for a change of pace and to prep for a yet to be determined west coast trip. This season's single speed training should help.

My XC bike is full suspension, 5lbs lighter and forged from 100% concentrated evil that was the actual prop used at the end of time bandits.

9th annual music city brewers fest

Watch this space for my review and pics of the 9th annual brewers fest, straight from Nashville. Being an official taster at the event is probably the cause of my blog neglect.

Slicker'n snot

Be careful out there the trails are slick after the rain yesterday. The dust combined with the rain for a nasty oil like finish. Trail running for me today, my taint's not up for the bustin.

Heel! Good dog.

What is it with all of the dogs unleashed on the trails these days? I love it when a retarded owner gives me attitude because they have to round the hyper spazzing, running wild pet to clear the trail. Maybe the buzz of Chris king hubs ( they sound like angry hornets) put both owner and animal into panic mode?

It's everyones trail but have some sense and respect for other people. If you take your animal illegally on trails instead of designated areas, leash it.

4th and a long, wet 1

What is it with rain on the 4th of July? It seems like we havent had a sunny one in many years.

I did a trail run yesterday and Cherokee was still a little mushy in spots. Overall the drainage is good and I figure they should be about perfect today.

BBC Ultra - Double Pale IPA

I tried the double pale IPA at the BBC last night and it's a hoppy monster. This stuff should be served in shot glasses.

It's damn near double the IBU of the APA and 9%. Hoppy and harsh to the point of tasting like a mouthful of grass soaked in kerosene.

Bring your balls if you dare try this one.

I liked it!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Never better weather

The weather is amazing right now. Put down the pint glass and get out on the trails.

The day after: I should follow my own advice once in awhile...

I've added some raw POV clips on the sidebar of me riding at Cherokee. I'll have a full featured edit at some point. Enjoy!

Cherokeneca Trails

The trails at Cherokee and Seneca are nice and tacky right now with a few wet spots but nothing that can't be avoided. Take the time to ride smart. Save a trail, leave no ruts.

POV thrills and chills

I bought a new helmet cam a couple of weeks ago and will be posting some scary fast footage on youtube soon. Watch my blogspot for a direct link.

Bear in mind it's all on my karate monkey, a hardtail single speed.

Trail running

The constant rain has brought me back full circle to my original love, trail running. I ran trails in the early 90's before I got my first mountain bike. I also did a bit of cross training in the past that included trail running.

I'm back in it full force now and my thighs are swelled up like leeches in Will Wheaton's tighty whities. Ibuprofen save me!

Wetter days, drunken ways

Rain is good to a degree but too much super sucks.
So far we have had 5.38in of rain in June. This far exceeds the 3.76 average and we still have 13 days left in the month.

Comparing this to last year's drought I feel like I have moved to Lou-attle.

More time for micro brews I guess.
