The weather is amazing right now. Put down the pint glass and get out on the trails.

Cherokeneca Trails

The trails at Cherokee and Seneca are nice and tacky right now with a few wet spots but nothing that can't be avoided. Take the time to ride smart. Save a trail, leave no ruts.

I bought a new helmet cam a couple of weeks ago and will be posting some scary fast footage on youtube soon. Watch my blogspot for a direct link.

Bear in mind it's all on my karate monkey, a hardtail single speed.

Trail running

The constant rain has brought me back full circle to my original love, trail running. I ran trails in the early 90's before I got my first mountain bike. I also did a bit of cross training in the past that included trail running.

I'm back in it full force now and my thighs are swelled up like leeches in Will Wheaton's tighty whities. Ibuprofen save me!

Wetter days, drunken ways

Rain is good to a degree but too much super sucks.
So far we have had 5.38in of rain in June. This far exceeds the 3.76 average and we still have 13 days left in the month.

Comparing this to last year's drought I feel like I have moved to Lou-attle.

More time for micro brews I guess.
